Background
Development Victoria appointed Traffic to create a new brand – from strategy through to execution – for a townhome development in Officer, in Melbourne’s east. The vision for the project is to create a community of diverse and affordable housing that is well located to key amenity – the intention is to supply a percentage of the total housing stock to social housing and offer a sizeable portion of the stock as a priority purchase to first home buyers.

Approach
We set out to create an urban community that blends convenient amenity with beautiful green spaces, where residents will have easy access to all the features and infrastructure that already exist in this thriving, evolving Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. A harmonious community that caters for contemporary low maintenance living – whilst taking advantage of the surrounding open space and multitude of lifestyle amenities on offer. It’s a location with the best of everything on offer, where you can ‘come to life’.

Solution
Named on the premise of the location being one where ‘a mixture of contrasting elements create a whole’, we christened the project ‘Olio’. Given the audience we were talking to and the nature of the product, it was important that the brand that we created was contemporary, minimalist and vibrant. To launch Olio, we created a full suite of materials – brochures, stage release materials, website, signage & hoardings, sales centre, digital and social assets and more.
