Junior Digital Designer – Sydney

The Candidate
We are looking for a junior digital designer to join our team in Sydney. The Junior Digital Designer (UX/ UI) will be responsible for designing best-in-class digital experiences for Traffic’s clients. They will contribute to the user experience by designing and delivering mobile first and responsive solutions that provide visually compelling digital designs that solve clearly articulated user problems.

The Junior Digital Designer (UX/ UI) will have the full support of UX researchers, UX designers, developers, producers, and account service as well as Creative Directors.


  • Designing digital experience and UI, including mock-ups and detailed designs.
  • Working independently as well as collaboratively with creative department and production team on a variety of projects.
  • Strong understanding of site functionality, user interfaces, navigation systems, web standards, and a passion for experimentation.
  • Understand and work within project parameters: client goals and requirements, internal goals, usability, and technical constraints.
  • Play an essential role in the design of innovative ideas, products, and services within the studio.
  • Attend meetings with Account Management and Clients both in the studio and off-site.


  • An outstanding portfolio presenting a diverse range of work, with a demonstration of process overview.
  • A natural design sense for digital and how it applies to brands; layout, typography, imagery and messaging.
  • Solid understanding of UI design, digital trends.
  • Strong communication skills are a must.
  • Advanced skills and knowledge of Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud. Invision/XD knowledge is beneficial.
  • Front-end development knowledge including HTML5, CSS, SASS is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Qualified with formal education in design, development or technology/IT.
  • Australian permanent residency or eligible Australian work visa.
